The HR Shared Services (HRSS) Representative is responsible for the day-to-day direct support of university clients relating to new hire/rehire onboarding, including I-9 processing, Talent Center access, employment form completion, Pitt Worx action items, and payroll processing, etc. The Shared Services Representative will provide outstanding client support service, guidance, and support to the University community which we serve, and handle all Tier 1 related questions and issues relating to HR and Payroll. The incumbent will assist our functional and departmental partners in finding solutions and providing resources in support of their duties. HRSS representatives will be required to work in all HRIS systems (Oracle, Taleo), SalesForce, and Equifax.
Job SummarySupports Human Resources by reviewing and maintain accurate data, employee records, and active job records and job postings. Assists with record audits and associated reports and effective customer service.
Essential FunctionsReviews data for accuracy of employee actions including, but not limited to, timekeeping errors, supplemental payments, error reporting triage, and new hire integrations.
Maintains employee records such as employee contact information, job classification, pay rates, organizational structure, and other key details.
Maintains accurate records of active job openings and received applications; manages internal and external job postings.
Assists with record audits and mandatory reports which may include I-9 audits, EEO-1 filings, payroll audits, and other compliance reviews.
Responds to online, in-person, and telephone inquiries concerning human resources programs and policies.
Physical EffortLittle physical effort required. Duties are primarily sedentary. May be required to move objects up to 25 pounds occasionally.
