Key Responsibilities:
Accurately track document and report the following:
Assist with organizing and facilitating workshops events and community outreach related to urban agriculture and food sustainability.

Experience working with children grades PK12 in a formal or informal setting.
Classroom behavior management skills.
Experience planning and organizing activities for children.
Knowledge of horticulture/agriculture through either formal or informal experiences.
Cooking skills in the home and/or professional setting.
Strong cultural competency skills and familiarity with traumainformed care methods.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Ability to work with frequent interruptions and simultaneously supervise a variety of tasks.
Ability to stand walk stoop reach and bend.
Mobility of arms to reach.
Dexterity of hands to grasp and manipulate large and small objects.
Ability to lift push and/or pull objects that may weigh approximately 50 pounds.
Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions including full sun and high temperatures.
Upon acceptance of position ability to pass a complete background check.
Working Hours
HOURS: 20 hours weekly yearround
March August
On Site: MondayFriday and when youth are on site: approximately 9:00 am 12:00 pm
On Site: Wednesdays: approximately 2:45 pm 5:45 pm (at least two Wednesdays per month)
On Site: Saturdays approximately 9:00 am 12:00 pm (at least two Saturdays per month)
Additional hours on site as needed and with flexibility to balance personal and organizational needs; additional office hours from home.
September February
On Site: Tuesdays and Thursdays when youth are on site: approximately 2:45 pm 5:45 pm
