Sylvan Learning Of Gilbert & Queen Creek in Gilbert, AZ is looking for two additional teachers (spanning Kindergarten - 12th grade). Teachers must be comfortable with at least a range of 4 grade levels. Comfort with both Math and ELA is a plus! We are located at 2335 S Lindsay Rd Ste 114. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, ambitious, and reliable.
NOT A FULL-TIME POSITION - Please read hours below! (3-20 hours weekly depending on your availability and how much you want to take on)
GENERAL SUMMARY
The Sylvan Teacher is responsible for creating a positive personal learning experience for students by teaching students using Sylvan program materials. Using the program materials, the teacher creates balanced and robust learning experiences for students. The Sylvan Teacher evaluates student progress on each assignment, communicates this progress, and works with center staff to ensure learning is personal for each student.
Instruction will be delivered Monday-Friday 3:30-7:30, Saturday 9-2, and Sunday 1-4 in hour-long sessions. You do not need to be available for all hours to work on a certain day. Some teachers will work the entire shift while others will work a partial shift (2-3 hours). We are currently hiring for all days and hours and will build your schedule around your availability.
We work around your availability. We currently need additional teachers most specifically to help with a large contract that we need to be well-staffed for. We are also opening up availability on our online platform. So if you are interested in a hybrid schedule (working some days in-center and others at home and online), that is an option as well!
Lessons are all pre-made and assigned. You do not need to lesson plan, grade, communicate with parents, or do anything other than teach! When you leave the center, you don't have any additional work or tasks to worry about! :)
